Charles E. Schnuck, 75, of California, MO passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born on March 4, 1937 in Prairie Home, MO the son of John H. Schnuck and Mary Wilbur Kendrick, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a 1955 graduate from the Prairie Home High School. He was married on November 10, 1961 in California, MO to Carmen Seyfert, who survives of California. He retired from the maintenance department of MODOT. Charles also served eight years in the Missouri National Guard. He was a member of California United Church of Christ, the California Oddfellows, and enjoyed farming and loved to hunt. He is survived by one sister, Carolyn Pygman of Raytown, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Schnuck II in October of 1983. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO. Burial will be in California Evangelical Cemetery. Officiating will be Mr. Jack Bowlin. Visitation will also be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
